We are looking for an experienced and reliable Ground Worker to join our team on a range of construction and groundwork projects.

The Role

As a Ground Worker, you will work as part of a site team carrying out a variety of groundwork duties, helping to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Excavation and preparation of foundations, trenches and footings
  • Drainage installation and repairs
  • Laying concrete, kerbs, paving and slabs
  • Ground preparation and levelling
  • Installation of ducting and underground services
  • Operating hand tools and relevant plant machinery
  • Assisting with setting out and general site duties
  • Working alongside machine operators and other trades
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Following all site health and safety procedures

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Ground Worker or in a similar construction role
  • Good knowledge of general groundwork and construction practices
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good understanding of site health and safety
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Relevant qualifications or tickets such as CSCS, CPCS or NPORS are desirable
