We are looking for an experienced and reliable Ground Worker to join our team on a range of construction and groundwork projects.
The Role
As a Ground Worker, you will work as part of a site team carrying out a variety of groundwork duties, helping to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Excavation and preparation of foundations, trenches and footings
- Drainage installation and repairs
- Laying concrete, kerbs, paving and slabs
- Ground preparation and levelling
- Installation of ducting and underground services
- Operating hand tools and relevant plant machinery
- Assisting with setting out and general site duties
- Working alongside machine operators and other trades
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Following all site health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Ground Worker or in a similar construction role
- Good knowledge of general groundwork and construction practices
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good understanding of site health and safety
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Relevant qualifications or tickets such as CSCS, CPCS or NPORS are desirable
