Are you an experienced Sheet Metal Worker with a keen eye for detail and a production-focused mindset? We’re looking for a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team in Carlisle. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with precision engineering equipment while enjoying excellent pay and benefits.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Reading and interpreting shop orders and engineering drawings to ensure accuracy.
- Setting up and operating press brake machinery to bend, form, shape, or straighten sheet metal.
- Using precision measuring tools (callipers, protractors) to check specifications and quality.
- Maintaining and cleaning machinery before and after shifts.
- Adjusting machine settings for speed, material feed, and cutting paths.
- Testing and fine-tuning machine speeds/actions using gauges and hand tools.
- Inspecting assembled parts to meet specifications.
- Processing shop orders through ERP systems.
- Following strict safety guidelines and wearing protective gear.
- Reporting issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
What You’ll Need
- A valid driving licence.
- FLT licence (advantageous but not essential).
- A strong production-based mindset and attention to detail.
