Are you an experienced Sheet Metal Worker with a keen eye for detail and a production-focused mindset? We’re looking for a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team in Carlisle. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with precision engineering equipment while enjoying excellent pay and benefits.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Reading and interpreting shop orders and engineering drawings to ensure accuracy.
  • Setting up and operating press brake machinery to bend, form, shape, or straighten sheet metal.
  • Using precision measuring tools (callipers, protractors) to check specifications and quality.
  • Maintaining and cleaning machinery before and after shifts.
  • Adjusting machine settings for speed, material feed, and cutting paths.
  • Testing and fine-tuning machine speeds/actions using gauges and hand tools.
  • Inspecting assembled parts to meet specifications.
  • Processing shop orders through ERP systems.
  • Following strict safety guidelines and wearing protective gear.
  • Reporting issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.

What You’ll Need

  • A valid driving licence.
  • FLT licence (advantageous but not essential).
  • A strong production-based mindset and attention to detail.
