Interaction Recruitment is recruiting Stores Operatives on behalf of a well-established technology and logistics organisation based in Rugby. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy stores operation, where you will be responsible for accurately receiving, locating, picking and dispatching customer orders while maintaining effective inventory control.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming deliveries.
- Check deliveries to ensure the correct items and quantities have been received.
- Accurately enter deliveries onto the inventory management system.
- Label stock correctly and place it in the appropriate location.
- Pick customer orders accurately and report any discrepancies.
- Complete quality checks to ensure products and quantities are correct.
- Package orders securely for transportation.
- Operate mechanical equipment safely and in line with company procedures.
- Follow relevant regulations regarding stock storage and product handling.
- Maintain accurate and accessible records.
- Support different functions, including goods-in, picking, packing and dispatch, depending on business requirements.
About You
- Previous stores, warehouse, picking, packing, goods-in or dispatch experience is desirable.
- A reliable work history and strong attendance record.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate counting ability.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A flexible approach to working hours, including overtime when available.
- The ability to use initiative and consistently produce high-quality work.
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English would be beneficial but are not essential.
Physical Requirements
This is a physically active position. You must be comfortable with:
- Standing, walking, bending, lifting, stooping and carrying throughout the shift.
- Working in an environment where temperatures may fluctuate.
- Regularly lifting and carrying items weighing up to 15kg.
- Occasionally lifting and carrying items weighing up to 25kg.
