About the Role
My client is looking for a reliable Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver to join their team in Royston on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with warehouse experience and a counterbalance forklift licence who is looking for a long-term position with a well-established company. The successful candidate will be working within a busy warehouse environment, supporting the day-to-day movement of goods and general warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Operating a counterbalance forklift to move materials and stock around the warehouse.
- Picking and preparing goods for dispatch.
- Receiving and checking incoming deliveries.
- Moving and storing stock safely within the warehouse.
- Loading and unloading vehicles.
- Carrying out general warehouse duties as required.
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe.
- Following all company health and safety procedures.
- Working as part of a team to ensure warehouse operations run smoothly.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
- Valid counterbalance forklift licence required.
- Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on role.
- Good attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
