Job Overview

I'm currently recruiting for experienced and motivated Stonemasons to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Baldock.

Both temporary and permanent opportunities are available for candidates with a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and experience working with natural or engineered stone.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy production team manufacturing high-quality stone products for residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

Cut, shape, polish, and finish stone to customer specifications.

Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders.

Operate stone-cutting, polishing, and CNC machinery where required.

Measure, mark, and prepare stone for fabrication.

Carry out edge profiling, polishing, and finishing to a high standard.

Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.

Safely handle heavy stone materials using appropriate lifting equipment.

Maintain machinery and tools in good working order.

Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety procedures.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet production deadlines.

About You

Previous experience as a Stonemason, Stone Fabricator, Mason, or similar role.

Experience working with granite, quartz, marble, porcelain, or other natural stone products is desirable.

Ability to read technical drawings and measurements accurately.

Good attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and stone fabrication machinery.

Physically fit and able to handle heavy materials safely.

Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
