Interaction Engineering Roof Tiler
Location: Millerhill, Edinburgh
Employment Type: Full-time / Contract
Salary: £22 to £25 per hour
About the Role
We are currently looking for experienced Roof Tilers to join our client’s team on a project in Millerhill, Edinburgh. The successful candidates will have a strong, proven background in roof tiling, including the installation of timber roof battens, GRP valleys and lead work alongside roof tiles.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing roof tiles to a high standard, in line with specifications and drawings
- Fixing timber roof battens accurately and securely
- Installing GRP valleys
- Carrying out lead work, including flashings and associated detailing
- Ensuring all work is weather-tight and meets quality standards and deadlines
- Working safely at height, using scaffolding and access equipment
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
- Complying with all health and safety procedures, including RAMS
- Working independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Roof Tiler
- Experience installing timber roof battens, GRP valleys and lead work
- Experience working on residential, commercial or construction sites
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Good understanding of working at height and site health and safety
- Own hand tools
- Valid CSCS card (Roofing or relevant card)
- Reliable, punctual and committed to quality workmanship
