A temp-to-perm opportunity is available for an experienced Team Leader / Yardman working with structural steel in the Rochester area. The company works with structural steel and provides services including shot blasting and finishing. You will be responsible for supervising a team of operatives and overseeing the day-to-day duties and organisation of the yard.
Main Responsibilities
- Managing and supervising a team of approximately 6 yard operatives.
- Allocating daily duties and ensuring work is completed efficiently.
- Handling and moving structural steel safely around the yard.
- Loading and unloading structural steel and materials.
- Organising incoming and outgoing steelwork.
- Coordinating the movement of steelwork through the yard and work areas.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed.
- Working closely with management and other teams.
- Dealing with day-to-day issues and ensuring the yard runs smoothly.
- Carrying out general yard duties when required.
Working Hours & Pay
Hours: 5:45am – 2:00pm
Pay: £15.00 per hour
