Person requires a good mechanical engineering background, proficient in brazing and soldering, and bench fitting.
Leadership qualities required for the role.
Role:
- Assisting sales team with accurate quoting, site visits as required, and technical support.
- Identifying material requirements.
- Identifying machining and fabricating requirements – non-standard items that are subcontracted.
- Identifying tooling requirements.
- Ordering non-standard parts and materials.
- Liaising with suppliers.
- Liaising with customers.
- Prioritising work and delegating duties.
- Progress chasing.
- Budget control during the progress of all jobs.
- Preparing WIPs for invoicing (i.e., labour, materials, etc.).
- Ensuring quality standards.
- Ensuring safe working practices.
- Training personnel.
- Visiting customers for sales, relationship building, continuous improvement, and new products.
- Manufacture/repair of all types of inductors, furnaces, quenches, power delivery items, etc. (Usually around 50% of time).
- Booking in jobs and setting sales orders.
- Signing off time cards and logging onto accounts system.
- Supports disciplinary/grievance situations.
- Reports to/updates management and team.
- General administrative duties.
Salary: £42,000 (overtime available – up to £20k additional).
Hours of work: 40 hours per week – Day shift and early finish on a Friday afternoon.
