Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £37,000-£39,000 base salary + overtime @ 1.5X (OTE £45,000+ per annum)

Hours: 7:00-16:30 Monday to Friday / Flexible hours available

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

The package:

  • Pay review after 6-month probation period to increase to up to £41,000 per annum base salary
  • 25 days Annual Leave + Public Holidays
  • Overtime readily available and paid at 1.5x / 2x on Sundays if available

The Responsibilities:

  • Build and test wiring looms and chassis mounts for an array of automotive machinery, including road sweepers, gritters and spreaders.
  • Diagnose and fault-find complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide expert recommendations.
  • Read and interpret detailed mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics to assist with fault-finding and testing of both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Assist with the service and refurbishment of heavy automotive machinery.
  • Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting.

Previous experience working in a similar role is essential.
