This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in supporting the logistics and operations function, ensuring the smooth coordination of deliveries, transport, and administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing customer orders and ensuring all information is entered accurately.
- Coordinating deliveries and collections with transport providers.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, and drivers to provide updates and resolve queries.
- Preparing delivery notes, invoices, transport documentation, and reports.
- Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems.
- Tracking shipments and monitoring delivery schedules.
- Supporting stock administration and inventory records where required.
- Handling incoming telephone calls and emails professionally.
- Providing general administrative support to the logistics and operations team.
- Assisting with continuous improvements to administrative processes.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a logistics, transport, or administration role.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
- Experience using transport management or ERP systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
