Are you an experienced Office Administrator with a background in transport or logistics? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same?

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established transport business based near Abingdon for a reliable and organised Office Administrator to join their friendly, close-knit team.

Please note: Due to the rural location, you'll need your own transport to commute to site.

The Role

This is a varied position where you'll play a key role in supporting the transport operation, liaising with customers, drivers and Pallet-Track depots to ensure deliveries run smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for customers and drivers
  • Answering and managing a high volume of telephone calls
  • Liaising with Pallet-Track depots regarding deliveries and collections
  • Monitoring customer deliveries and resolving any issues
  • Producing and maintaining KPI reports
  • Ensuring customer service levels are achieved
  • Providing general administrative support to the transport team

What We're Looking For

  • Previous administration experience within a transport or logistics environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise workload in a busy office
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a small team

Hours

Monday to Friday 09:00 – 19:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Salary & Benefits

£32,500 per annum. Salary may be negotiable for the right candidate. Permanent, full-time position. Supportive team environment. Long-term career opportunity with a growing business.
