Overview

Working in a factory environment, you will test, measure, and monitor product quality, ensuring processes and standards are consistently met while supporting continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine inspections and tests on materials and products.
  • Ensure flexible packaging meets quality standards (seal strength, print quality, barrier properties, dimensions, etc.).
  • Use quality testing tools such as micrometers, callipers, seal testers, COF testers, ovens, and tensile testers.
  • Record and analyse data, keeping accurate quality documentation.
  • Support investigations into non-conformances and customer complaints.
  • Assist with root-cause analysis, CAPA, and audit activities.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment.
  • Promote quality, safety, and GMP/ISO/HACCP compliance.
  • Maintain a tidy QC area and uphold BRCGS standards.
  • Report maintenance issues and ensure smooth shift handovers.
  • Meet daily production and quality targets.
  • Follow all company and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Attend required training and complete other reasonable tasks.

Skills & Experience

  • QC experience desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with BRCGS environments and materials (films, laminates, etc.) preferred.
  • Knowledge of lamination, slitting, and print testing is beneficial.
  • Basic maths and computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Strong communication, timekeeping, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions.
  • Proactive, reliable, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
