Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Roofing & Cladding Estimator to join a growing and well-established business based in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator looking to play a key role in securing and delivering high-value roofing and cladding projects across the commercial and industrial sectors.
PLEASE NOTE: ROOFING AND CLADDING EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS POSITION.
What You'll Do
- As a Roofing & Cladding Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive tenders while supporting the commercial success of the business.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and take-offs for roofing and cladding projects
- Obtaining and evaluating quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
- Producing accurate tender submissions within required timescales
- Identifying potential risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
- Liaising with clients, architects, contractors, and internal project teams
- Supporting contract handovers to project delivery teams upon successful award
- Maintaining strong supplier and subcontractor relationships
- Monitoring market trends and material pricing to ensure competitive quotations
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an Estimator within the roofing and cladding industry
- Strong understanding of roofing systems, rainscreen cladding, composite panels, and associated products
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience producing detailed cost estimates and tenders
- Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously
- Full UK driving licence preferred
