The Role

As a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will:

  • Carry out mechanical fault finding and repairs on production machinery and associated equipment.
  • Perform planned and preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose and repair gearboxes, motors, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to ensure smooth plant operations.
  • Maintain compliance with health & safety standards and promote best practices.
  • Support plant layout changes and installations as required.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong mechanical bias with working knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Skilled in fault finding and diagnostics across mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Relevant qualifications: City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
