Location: Office-based (minimum 4 days per week) with up to 1 day working from home by agreement

Hours: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday

Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 per annum + commission potential + company bonus scheme - excellent earning potential

Interaction Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Sales Executive. Our client is a well-established organisation operating within the UK assistive technology sector, providing specialist software, hardware, training, support and accessibility solutions that help individuals, education providers, local authorities, charities and workplaces access technology that improves independence, productivity and inclusion.

This is more than a sales support role. We are seeking someone who wants ownership, accountability and the opportunity to directly influence revenue growth while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

About the Role

As Sales Executive, you will be responsible for converting inbound enquiries and allocated leads into measurable commercial outcomes while managing a structured sales pipeline across education and local authority sectors. You’ll act as a key commercial contact for customers, owning enquiries from first contact through to quotation, follow-up and order completion. You’ll work closely with marketing, operations and leadership teams to maintain pipeline momentum, identify growth opportunities and contribute directly to business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert inbound enquiries into revenue opportunities
  • Manage structured quotation follow-up and sales progression
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Support revenue growth through strong pipeline management
  • Maintain ownership of allocated accounts and opportunities

Customer & Account Management

  • Act as first point of contact for customer enquiries via phone, email and web channels
  • Build strong working relationships with education and local authority customers
  • Provide informed guidance on suitable products and solutions (full training provided)
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and communication

Pipeline & CRM Management

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and opportunity tracking
  • Ensure all live opportunities have clear next actions
  • Monitor pipeline progression and quotation ageing
  • Contribute to reporting and commercial visibility

Order Processing & Commercial Governance

  • Prepare accurate quotations and sales orders
  • Process orders compliantly and accurately
  • Ensure pricing controls, approvals and documentation standards are followed
  • Support smooth customer fulfilment through collaboration with internal teams

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who combines strong commercial awareness with excellent organisation and communication skills. You may already be working in sales, internal sales, account management or commercial customer service and be ready to take ownership of a broader commercial role. You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in sales, account management, customer service or commercial support
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive and organised approach to workload management
  • Good attention to detail and administrative accuracy
  • Confidence using CRM systems and Microsoft 365
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining customer focus
  • Commercial mindset with a results-driven approach
  • Experience within education, public sector procurement, technology sales or assistive technology is helpful but not essential.
