Interaction Recruitment is looking for an experienced recruitment professional to join our Midlands Hub as a Regional Manager, based from our Milton Keynes office. This is a hands-on, revenue-generating recruitment role combined with wider leadership responsibilities. The successful applicant will continue to manage client relationships, develop new business & make placements while also supporting the Managing Director with the internal management, recruitment & development of colleagues across the region. This is not a purely operational or non-billing management position. You will lead from the front, maintaining your own successful recruitment activity while helping to strengthen the wider Midlands Hub.

Your responsibilities will be divided between developing your own recruitment business & supporting the Managing Director with internal people management and regional development.

  • Recruitment & Revenue Generation
    • Manage a full 360-degree recruitment desk
    • Develop new business across Milton Keynes & the wider Midlands region
    • Build & maintain long-term relationships with clients
    • Identify temporary, permanent & contract recruitment opportunities
    • Arrange & attend client meetings
    • Take detailed vacancy briefs & agree appropriate recruitment solutions
    • Source, interview & introduce suitable candidates
    • Manage interviews, offers, placements & ongoing client relationships
    • Work towards agreed revenue, margin & activity targets
    • Identify opportunities to cross-sell Interaction’s wider recruitment divisions
    • Maintain a strong understanding of the local employment market
  • Internal Management & Development
    • Support the Managing Director with the day-to-day management of colleagues across the Midlands Hub
    • Assist with internal recruitment, including attracting, interviewing & selecting new consultants
    • Support the induction & onboarding of new colleagues
    • Coach, mentor & develop recruitment consultants
    • Help colleagues improve business development, candidate attraction & account-management performance
    • Conduct regular performance discussions & provide practical support where required
    • Identify training needs & contribute to internal development plans
    • Promote consistent standards, processes & ways of working
    • Encourage collaboration between offices, consultants & specialist divisions
    • Support the Managing Director with regional projects, meetings & internal communications
    • Help create a positive, accountable & commercially focused working environment

We are looking for an established recruitment professional who enjoys generating business but is also ready to take on greater responsibility for supporting & developing others.

You should have:

  • Strong experience within recruitment
  • A proven record of generating revenue through new business & client development
  • Experience managing a successful recruitment desk
  • The ability to build strong client & candidate relationships
  • Previous experience coaching, mentoring or managing colleagues
  • The confidence to support performance discussions & colleague development
  • Experience interviewing or recruiting internal staff
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • A practical, hands-on leadership style
  • Good organisation, communication & problem-solving skills
  • The ability to balance personal billing responsibilities with wider management duties
  • A full UK driving licence & access to a vehicle
  • Previous experience as a Recruitment Manager, Branch Manager, Divisional Manager, Senior Recruitment Consultant or Team Leader would be beneficial.
