Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (Door-to-door paid + overtime at 1.5x)

Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established and growing material handling business, currently seeking an experienced Field-Based Forklift Engineer to join their expanding team. Our client delivers materials handling and access solutions to customers across the UK, with a strong nationwide presence and excellent reputation within the industry.

The Role

  • Diagnose faults, service, and carry out repairs on forklifts and plant equipment
  • Attend breakdowns and complete emergency repairs on-site
  • Work independently across customer sites while maintaining high service standards
  • Liaise with customers to provide effective solutions
  • Complete service reports and ensure accurate documentation
  • Travel to various sites to carry out planned and reactive maintenance

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the forklift or plant industry (essential)
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding skills (essential)
  • Experience with hydraulics, engines, and battery systems (essential)
  • Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds – desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence
