Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established and growing material handling business, currently seeking an experienced Field-Based Forklift Engineer to join their expanding team. Our client delivers materials handling and access solutions to customers across the UK, with a strong nationwide presence and excellent reputation within the industry.
The Package

The Role
- Diagnose faults, service, and carry out repairs on forklifts and plant equipment
- Attend breakdowns and complete emergency repairs on-site
- Work independently across customer sites while maintaining high service standards
- Liaise with customers to provide effective solutions
- Complete service reports and ensure accurate documentation
- Travel to various sites to carry out planned and reactive maintenance
Requirements
- Proven experience in the forklift or plant industry (essential)
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding skills (essential)
- Experience with hydraulics, engines, and battery systems (essential)
- Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds – desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
