Interaction Recruitment is looking for a Driving Recruitment Consultant to join our Midlands Hub & develop a Driving recruitment desk from our Milton Keynes office. This is a full 360-degree recruitment position combining business development, client management, candidate recruitment, compliance & the day-to-day coordination of temporary driving bookings. You will be responsible for developing new business, recruiting professional drivers & delivering a reliable recruitment service to transport, distribution & logistics clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing new Driving recruitment business across Milton Keynes & the surrounding area
  • Contacting transport, logistics, distribution & manufacturing businesses
  • Arranging & attending client meetings
  • Building long-term relationships with new & existing customers
  • Managing temporary, contract & permanent driving requirements
  • Recruiting Class 1, Class 2, 7.5-tonne, van & specialist drivers
  • Advertising vacancies & maintaining an active candidate pipeline
  • Registering, interviewing & assessing drivers
  • Checking licences, qualifications, right-to-work documentation & relevant compliance
  • Confirming pay rates, working hours, assignment details & client requirements
  • Coordinating daily bookings, cancellations & replacement drivers
  • Maintaining regular contact with clients & temporary workers
  • Resolving service issues quickly & professionally
  • Supporting payroll, timesheet & administrative processes
  • Working towards agreed sales, margin & activity targets
  • Participating in an out-of-hours service or rota where required
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the Midlands Hub & wider Driving division

We are particularly interested in applicants with previous Driving recruitment or temporary recruitment experience.

You should have:

  • Experience managing or developing a temporary recruitment desk
  • Strong new business development skills
  • The ability to manage urgent & changing recruitment requirements
  • Good attention to detail
  • A professional & organised approach
  • Confidence dealing with clients, drivers & operational managers
  • A clear understanding of the importance of driver compliance
  • The ability to build & maintain a reliable temporary worker pool
  • A full UK driving licence & access to a vehicle
  • Knowledge of drivers’ hours, Working Time rules, licence categories, Driver CPC requirements & agency Driving compliance would be advantageous.

Full training on Interaction Recruitment’s systems, compliance procedures & internal processes will be provided.
