We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Working Supervisor to oversee and actively participate in mechanical installation works on a 15-plot residential development in North Kensington. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising site operatives, coordinating mechanical activities, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards. This is a hands‐on role requiring both supervisory and mechanical installation experience. The client is looking at an early February start date.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate day‐to‐day mechanical works across the site
- Actively work on the tools as required while leading the mechanical team
- Ensure all mechanical installations are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and regulations
- Manage and motivate site operatives and subcontractors
- Liaise with the Site Manager, Project Manager, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow
- Monitor progress against the programme and report any delays or issues
- Ensure materials and plant are available when required
- Carry out quality checks and inspections of completed works
- Enforce site health & safety procedures and ensure compliance with RAMS
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Assist with snagging, testing, and commissioning as required
Requirements & Experience
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or Mechanical Working Foreman/Supervisor
- Strong background in residential mechanical installations (e.g. plumbing, heating, plant, HIUs, boosted cold water systems, etc., as applicable)
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
- SSSTS or SMSTS (preferred)
- Relevant mechanical qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
- Valid CSCS card
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Strong focus on quality, safety, and programme delivery
