Are you a highly experienced School Office Manager with a proven track record of running a school office to an exceptional standard? Do you thrive under pressure, manage competing priorities with confidence, and uphold the highest levels of professionalism, confidentiality and compliance?
This School Office Manager position is suited to a senior-level professional who can take full ownership of school office operations from day one.
The Role- Take full responsibility for the daily management and strategic organisation of the school office.
- Act as the lead professional point of contact for parents, governors, external agencies and the wider community.
- Ensure absolute accuracy and compliance in pupil records, attendance monitoring, safeguarding documentation and statutory returns.
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Headteacher and senior leadership team, including confidential matters.
- Manage school finance processes, including purchase orders, invoices, budget monitoring and liaison with the trust finance team.
- Lead admissions, leavers, transitions and census processes with precision and efficiency.
- Maintain and enforce robust systems, procedures and deadlines, ensuring the office operates to best-practice standards.
- Line manage and performance-manage office staff, setting clear expectations and maintaining accountability.
- Remain calm, professional and solution-focused in a fast-paced, high-pressure school environment.

Key Requirements (Essential)- Significant experience as a School Office Manager or senior school administrator.
- Expert knowledge of school systems (SIMS, Arbor or equivalent); applicants without this experience will not be considered.
- Proven experience managing attendance, safeguarding records and statutory compliance.
- Strong understanding of school finance procedures, including ordering, invoicing and budget tracking.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Confident line management experience with a clear, professional leadership style.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Absolute discretion, reliability and a no-nonsense, solutions-focused approach.
- Relevant administrative or business management qualifications.
This role is not suitable for entry-level administrators or those new to school office environments.
