Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join their skilled engineering team. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, and fit mechanical components and equipment.
- Carry out maintenance, repairs, and fault-finding on machinery and plant equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed to high-quality standards and within project deadlines.
- Conduct inspections and testing of mechanical systems.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades on site.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Fitter, or similar role.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with pumps, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, or similar industrial equipment.
- Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, Apprenticeship, or equivalent preferred).
- Full UK driving licence (if required for the role).
