We are recruiting a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative to join a busy plant machinery operation in Biggleswade. The role involves cleaning, moving, and positioning plant equipment within the yard to maximise space and ensure all machinery is prepared and ready for hire or dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean plant machinery and equipment to a high standard.
- Move, park, and position machines safely and efficiently within the yard.
- Organise the yard to maximise space and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
- Operate plant machinery as required.
- Carry out basic visual checks and report any damage or defects.
- Assist with general yard duties when needed.
- Follow all health & safety procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with plant machinery is essential.
- Confident operating equipment such as excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, or similar.
- NPORS or CPCS tickets preferred but not essential.
