Interaction Technical is recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist in industrial packaging machinery and end-of-line automation solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically and electrically skilled engineer to join a growing service team, supporting customers across a wide range of manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and distribution environments.

Overtime Rates
- Monday to Friday after 5pm: Standard hourly rate
- Saturday until 12pm: 1.5x rate
- Saturday after 12pm & Sunday: 2x rate
The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will install, service, maintain, and repair a range of packaging and automation equipment at customer sites across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical and electrical fault-finding
- Planned preventative maintenance
- Breakdown diagnosis and repair
- Installation and commissioning of new machinery
- Machine optimisation and performance improvements
- Providing technical support to customers
- Completing service reports and documentation
Machinery Includes
- Pallet wrapping machines
- Robotic wrapping systems
- Turntable and rotary arm wrappers
- Conveyor systems
- Strapping and banding equipment
- Other end-of-line packaging machinery
Requirements
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience working with industrial, automated, manufacturing, packaging, or processing machinery
- Previous field service experience advantageous
- Engineering qualification (Level 3 minimum)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK, with occasional overnight stays
