We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Operative for a temporary role based in Sittingbourne. This is a physically demanding position and is best suited to someone who is manually fit and comfortable with very heavy lifting. The main duty will be unloading lorries containing large, bulky boxes of furniture. Typically, there will be one lorry in the morning and one in the afternoon. During quieter periods between deliveries, you will assist with picking and packing tasks to help keep the warehouse running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unloading large and bulky furniture items from incoming lorries
  • Handling very heavy lifting on a daily basis
  • Assisting with light picking and packing between deliveries
  • Keeping the warehouse area tidy and organised
  • Following health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements

  • Good level of physical fitness – this role involves consistent heavy lifting
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential
