We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Pre-Construction Estimator to join a well-established and growing Building Services company based in Petham, Canterbury, Kent. Location: Petham, Canterbury, Kent
Salary: 45,000 - 53,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 17:30, Friday: 07:30 - 16:30
About the Role
As an Electrical Pre-Construction Estimator, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of competitive and accurate tender submissions. Working closely with the estimating team, supply chain and senior management, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and supporting the business in securing new projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing tender documentation and raising RFIs where required
- Preparing enquiries for equipment and specialist subcontract packages
- Producing accurate estimates using computer-aided estimating software (Ensign)
- Quantifying materials, labour and plant requirements
- Attending and contributing to pre-tender, mid-tender and post-tender meetings
- Reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure compliance and best value
- Liaising with estimators and other stakeholders
