Interaction Recruitment have an IMMEDIATE START for an experienced HGV Class 2 Heavy Duty RoRo Driver to join our clients growing team working fulltime dayshifts 07:00-17:00 paying £16.73 per hour from their site in Crew. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional driver who is currently looking to progress into a fulltime position.
Responsibilities
- Operate HGV Class 2 lorries, specialising in Roll-On Roll-Off (RORO) operations, with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards
- Safely load, secure, and unload containers using appropriate equipment
- Navigate routes effectively, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations
- Assist with the manoeuvring of containers on-site, ensuring proper placement and securing during transit
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle logs, and any incidents or issues encountered during shifts
- Comply with all health and safety policies, including the use of PPE and adherence to environmental guidelines
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Prior experience operating Roll-On Roll-Off vehicles is essential
- Good understanding of road safety regulations and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading/unloading containers safely
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
