HGV 1 Driver
The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.
Location: Washington
Interaction Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with ASDA at their Supermarket distribution depots across Washington.
We now only require you to have 6 months experience for you to be considered.
Work through 2026. Unlike many HGV contracts available at this time of year, our ASDA drivers enjoy work all year round.
We have both full time and part time shifts available as well as both days and nights.
Shifts and pay rates as an HGV Class 1 Driver:
Average paid shifts are 10-13 hours per day.
06:00 – 14:00
Basic £14.30
Overtime £20.48 (after 45 hours)
14:00 – 22:00
Basic £15.51
Overtime £21.67 (after 45 hours)
22:00 – 06:00
Basic £17.18
Overtime £23.30 (after 45 hours)
ALL BREAKS ARE PAID!
RATES INCREASE WITH SERVICE LENGTH
Shift patterns available:
FULL TIME 4 or 5 OUT OF 7 or part time / ad hoc
Your responsibilities as a Class 1 Driver:
Duties include completing 1-4 deliveries to stores as required.
Deliveries can be either caged or palletised.
Completing paperwork.
Class 1 Driver – About you:
HGV 1 C+E licence. xiskglj Digital tacho & DQC card
Minimum 6 months experience
No more than 6 points. No DR, DD, CD, IN10\’s
Be able to pass a theory and practical driving assessment
