Salary: £70,000 – £75,000 basic + OTE £100,000 + Car Allowance

Interaction Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a market-leading organisation during an exciting period of growth as they look to appoint an experienced Head of Sales. This is a senior leadership role, working closely with the Managing Director to shape and execute the commercial strategy while building, leading and inspiring a high-performing Business Development team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, expanding market presence and strengthening relationships with key customers and partners.

This opportunity would suit a commercially astute sales leader with strong B2B experience and a proven background in solutions-based sales into retail environments or service-led organisations.

The Role

As Head of Sales, you will be a key member of the leadership team and take ownership of the sales strategy, pipeline performance and team development. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining, shaping and executing the overall sales strategy aligned to the company’s vision and objectives
  • Managing the sales pipeline, qualifying “must win” opportunities and ensuring the right level of support and challenge
  • Leading, managing and motivating the Business Development team to exceed targets
  • Driving pipeline generation through proactive outbound and inbound sales activity
  • Coaching and developing the team through structured training plans, one-to-ones and regular reviews
  • Managing performance against quota, activity metrics and administrative standards
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders, customers and strategic partners
  • Identifying and developing new revenue streams through cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
  • Expanding existing accounts through horizontal and vertical penetration
  • Using data and insights to identify growth opportunities and optimise sales strategies
  • Staying close to market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to inform decision-making

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in a senior sales or business development leadership role
  • A strong background in B2B solutions sales, ideally within retail, communications or service-led environments
  • A demonstrable track record of winning new business and delivering sustained revenue growth
  • Experience working to monthly targets and building effective sales pipelines
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach and challenge a sales team
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • A strategic, data-driven and results-focused mindset
  • The resilience and confidence to challenge ideas, introduce innovation and drive change
  • Experience in forecasting, strategic planning and pipeline management
