The Company
Interaction Technical is working in partnership with a well-established material handling business that has been supporting customers across Kent. The company supplies, services, and maintains forklift trucks and material handling equipment for customers across the agricultural, storage, manufacturing, and industrial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit a Forklift Truck Engineer to join their experienced service team.

The Role
Initially based within the Cranbrook workshop, you will work alongside experienced engineers to familiarise yourself with the company's equipment, processes, and team. Once fully trained, you will become a mobile service engineer, visiting customer sites throughout the local area to carry out repairs and maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Servicing, repairing, and maintaining new and used forklift trucks and material handling equipment
- Carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs on the company's rental fleet
- Servicing and repairing customers' own equipment both in the workshop and on-site
- Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
- Completing service documentation accurately using the company's PDA system
- Delivering excellent customer service while working independently on customer sites
- Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
What Weβre Looking For
- β NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Plant Maintenance, or a related discipline
- β Previous experience working on forklift trucks, plant, agricultural, HGV, or similar equipment
- β Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault-finding skills
- β PUWER and LOLER qualifications (desirable)
- β Thorough Examination (TE) certification (desirable)
- β Safety-conscious with excellent problem-solving abilities
- β Self-motivated with a strong quality focus and attention to detail
- β Full UK driving licence (essential)
