The Role

As a Plant Fitter, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the reliability and performance of a diverse fleet of plant machinery, ensuring customers receive exceptional levels of service and support. Key duties will include:

  • Travelling to customer sites to service, maintain and repair plant equipment
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
  • Carrying out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
  • Completing breakdown repairs efficiently to minimise downtime
  • Providing technical advice and support to customers
  • Delivering equipment operation guidance and training when required
  • Maintaining accurate service records and job documentation
  • Collaborating with internal engineering teams to improve machine reliability and performance
  • Promoting safe working practices and maintaining high engineering standards

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working within the plant equipment industry
  • Strong hydraulic knowledge combined with mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
  • Experience servicing and repairing heavy machinery or mobile equipment
  • Engine diagnostic and repair experience would be beneficial
  • Relevant engineering qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent are advantageous
  • A motivated and professional approach with a desire to develop your career
  • Ambition to progress into senior or supervisory positions
  • Full UK Driving Licence
