The Company

Interaction Technical is working in partnership with a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Northampton. Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Miller Programmer, Setter & Operator to join their machining team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a busy precision engineering environment manufacturing complex components using advanced CNC milling machinery and specialist materials.

The Role

As a CNC Miller Programmer, Setter & Operator, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating Fanuc-controlled CNC milling machines, producing high-precision components to exact specifications. Working from engineering drawings, you will manufacture small and medium batch components from a range of materials including stainless steel, Duplex, Titanium and Hastelloy alloys while maintaining exceptional quality standards. You will become a key member of the milling department, supporting the continued success and growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set and operate Fanuc-controlled CNC milling machines
  • Manufacture precision-engineered components to specification
  • Read and interpret 2D engineering drawings
  • Machine a variety of materials including 304, 316, Duplex, Titanium and Hastelloy
  • Inspect components using precision measuring equipment
  • Produce work to tight tolerances and quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
  • Support continuous improvement and production efficiency initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a CNC Miller, Setter & Programmer
  • Strong experience with Fanuc controls
  • Programming experience essential
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience machining a range of materials, including exotic alloys
  • High attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
  • Self-motivated with a positive and proactive attitude
