We are working with a secondary SEN school in Gravesend seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teacher to support students aged 11–19 with EHCPs. The majority of pupils present with SEMH needs, alongside ASD and ADHD. This role focuses on delivering accessible, structured lessons within a supportive and therapeutic learning environment.

Role Overview:

  • Deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum, adapted to meet individual SEN needs
  • Support students with SEMH to regulate behaviour and engage positively in learning
  • Differentiate teaching to support a range of abilities and learning styles
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and SEN staff to support EHCP outcomes
  • Create a calm, safe, and consistent classroom environment

About You:

  • QTS is desirable but not essential
  • Experience working in SEN, SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision settings
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
  • Calm, resilient, and adaptable teaching approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
