About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes, predominantly Dossans with Fanuc controls. You will have the autonomy to program from scratch, supported by CNC CAD/CAM software and Cimco Editor. The role involves small batch production, setting machines for operators, and ensuring efficient, high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities
- Program CNC machines using CAD software and Cimco Editor to produce accurate, high-quality parts on lathes with live tooling
- Set up and operate CNC machines to meet technical specifications
- Monitor ongoing machining processes, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to optimize manufacturing processes
- Prepare machines for operators and provide technical support during production
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience programming CNC machines using CAD software and Cimco Editor
- Strong understanding of Fanuc control systems
- Good mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience working with live tooling on lathes is desirable
