A great opportunity for an ambitious Trainee Accountant looking to build a long‑term career in practice. You’ll work closely with the Client Director, support a busy portfolio, and gain hands‑on experience across VAT, accounts, tax, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns, statutory accounts, and corporation tax returns
- Reviewing client financial records for accuracy and compliance
- Managing daily client queries and delivering excellent service
- Communicating professionally via phone, email, and Microsoft Teams
- Responding to internal and external email queries promptly
- Maintaining internal control records and issuing client reminders
- Representing company values in all client and colleague interactions
- Working towards and exceeding KPIs and performance targets
What You’ll Need
- AAT / ACCA / ACA (part‑qualified or qualified)
- Minimum 1 year accounting industry experience
- Experience using accounting software
- Strong Microsoft Office and Outlook skills
- Confident, eager to learn, and committed to developing your accounting career
- Detail‑focused, organised, and adaptable
- Strong communicator and supportive team player
