Interaction have partnered with a well-established, industry leader in recycling of UPVC windows and doors. Due to continuous growth, our client is now looking to add a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to their busy engineering team.
Package
- Overtime available – 1.5x
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
- Pension subject to auto‑enrolment – Employee contribution 5% (minimum) and Employer contributes 3%
- All Colleague Bonus – Individuals can get up to £1,200 per year subject to the Company achieving performance targets, calculated as up to £200 per quarter and £400 at year end.

Role
- Minimise production downtime, by carrying out routine scheduled maintenance (PPMs) and respond to unplanned breakdowns with the stipulated timeframes.
- Ensure that production operations maximise output and minimise downtime safely through regular planned maintenance.
- Respond to unplanned breakdowns in a timely and effective manner, working alongside engineering and production colleagues to minimise disruption.
- Optimise the performance and lifecycle of operational equipment with regular preventative maintenance, working with the Production team, to identify and understand causes of equipment wear and underperformance.
- Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns.
- Carry out all work according to Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, SOPs, Dynamic Risk Assessments and company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- In depth understanding of fault finding/diagnostics on manufacturing machinery
- Electrical & Mechanical Competencies
- Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQs) – Advantageous
- Electrical bias – Advantageous
- Experience of working in a fast paced production environment for a minimum of 2 years – Essential
