We are in search of an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 2 years' experience to work in Plymouth for an award-winning construction client specialising in commercial, industrial, and domestic projects. Due to the continued growth of the company, they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work from their office in Plymouth on multiple commercial projects within the South West for their T1 contractor customers, with project values ranging from £50k up to £2 million.
Daily Tasks Include:
- Prepare project-specific tender and contract documents.
- Monitor and control costs across several projects.
- Identify commercial risk and the likelihood of cost variation.
- Track any changes to the design or actual work and adjust budget projections.
- Value completed works and invoice to contractors, including extras and day works.
- Attend site to ensure monthly measures and valuations are correct.
- Liaise with and maintain excellent relationships with our customers and workforce.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in commercial projects (i.e. education, leisure, MOD, office, etc.).
- Minimum two years' experience in a quantity surveyor role.
- Must be thorough and pay attention to detail.
- Excellent numeracy skills.
- Ability to use your initiative.
- Ability to work in a team.
