We are recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Cylinder Cleaning Operative to support a busy outdoor cleaning operation. The role would suit candidates with previous cleaning, warehouse or production experience. This role involves preparing metal cylinders for reuse by cleaning the exterior surfaces and removing labels, pen marks, and general dirt.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning the exterior of metal cylinders to remove labels, pen marks, and general dirt.
  • Lifting cylinders from pallets onto a work bench ready for cleaning.
  • Handling cylinders weighing approximately 7–10 kg each.
  • Keeping the work area clean, tidy, and safe.
  • Following site procedures and health and safety guidance at all times.

Working hours and pay

  • Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30
  • £13.00 per hour
  • 1 hour unpaid lunch break
  • Work takes place outdoors in a covered area

Candidate requirements

  • Comfortable carrying out repetitive manual handling tasks as part of the role.
  • Able to lift and move cylinders weighing approximately 7–10 kg, with any reasonable adjustments considered where appropriate.
  • Reliable, punctual, and willing to work outdoors in a covered environment.
  • Good attention to detail and a positive attitude to practical tasks.
