Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 Basic (OTE £60,000+), Overtime paid @ 1.5x

The Role
As a Crane Technician, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, inspection, and repair of HMF and PM lorry-mounted cranes at customer sites throughout the UK.
This role would suit a technician with experience in cranes, hydraulics, lifting equipment, plant machinery, commercial vehicles, agricultural equipment, or other heavy engineering sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HMF and PM cranes
- Diagnose and rectify hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults
- Conduct LOLER inspections, testing, and certification work
- Manufacture, repair, and replace hydraulic hoses
- Attend breakdowns and provide effective on-site support
- Complete inspections and service documentation accurately
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with industry standards
- Deliver a professional service while maintaining strong customer relationships
What We're Looking For
- Experience working on truck-mounted cranes, hydraulic equipment, plant machinery, commercial vehicles, or lifting equipment
- Strong hydraulic fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Ability to work independently in a field service environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Positive and professional approach to customer service
Desirable Qualifications
- ALLMI Certification
- Operator Certification
- Thorough Examiner Certification
- LOLER Inspection experience
- Manufacturer training on HMF, PM, Palfinger, Fassi, Atlas, or similar equipment
