Semi-Skilled Sheet Metal Workers
Location: Cottenham, Cambridge
Salary: £15.00 – £18.00 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
Working Week: 40 hours

About the Role
Interaction Recruitment is recruiting for Semi-Skilled Sheet Metal Workers to join an established manufacturing company based in Cottenham, Cambridge.
We are looking for hands-on individuals with previous sheet metal or fabrication workshop experience who are confident using machinery and willing to develop their skills.
You do not need to be a fully skilled sheet metal worker, but some practical experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating or assisting with CNC punching machinery.
- Folding and bending sheet metal using press brake machines.
- Cutting, grinding and deburring metal components.
- Carrying out basic sheet metal fabrication and assembly.
- Using hand tools and workshop equipment.
- Reading and following basic engineering drawings.
- Checking finished components for quality.
- Supporting general workshop production.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience working with sheet metal or in a fabrication workshop.
- Basic knowledge of punching, folding or bending processes.
- Confident using hand tools and workshop machinery.
- Good practical and mechanical ability.
- Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Experience
- CNC punching
- Press brake operating
- Sheet metal folding and bending
- Basic MIG or TIG welding
- Grinding and deburring
- CNC plasma cutting
- General sheet metal assembly
You do not need experience in all these areas. Training and development will be available for candidates with the right attitude and basic experience.
Pay & Working Hours
- £15.00 – £18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Monday to Friday.
- 7:00am – 3:30pm.
- 40 paid hours per week.
- Annual salary equivalent: £31,200 – £37,440.
