We are recruiting for an ambitious and commercially driven UK & Export Sales Manager on behalf of an established UK engineering and manufacturing business specialising in innovative material handling and conveyor solutions supplied across the UK and international markets. The company is recognised for designing and manufacturing high-quality portable conveyors, lifting equipment, and material handling machinery used within the construction, warehousing, distribution, and agricultural sectors.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business where you will play a key role in driving UK and international sales growth, developing new business opportunities, and building long-term customer relationships across domestic and export markets.

The Role

Reporting directly to the General Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing existing customer accounts while proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities across the UK and overseas. This role combines strategic sales development, account management, customer engagement, and international market expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth across UK and export markets
  • Develop and maintain strong customer and distributor relationships
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities and routes to market
  • Generate leads through networking, outbound sales activity, and customer visits
  • Manage customer enquiries, quotations, and after-sales support
  • Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs
  • Conduct customer visits and product demonstrations in the UK and internationally
  • Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
  • Collaborate with internal teams including logistics, production, and customer service
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and sales reporting

About You

  • Proven sales experience, ideally within construction, manufacturing, machinery, engineering, or related industrial sectors

  • Confident presenting machinery and products to customers
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and internationally
