I am looking for a Print Assistant to join my client’s team in Corby. The right candidates will be interested in processes and machinery, have a keen eye for detail, good colour vision and be physically fit. The role will be working in a factory environment operating print press machinery and will include some tasks as outlined below:
- Assisting the Flexographic Printer with the press set‑up including loading inks and plates
- Preparing and arranging materials for each run
- Monitor the print process and inform the Flexographic Printer of any issues
- Perform basic quality checks
- Help to clean / maintain the machine and work area
- Remove printed materials and stack / store as required
- Maintain inventory levels of consumables such as ink, solvent and cleaning supplies
- Label, wrap and stack pallets
- Keep scrap to a minimum
- Ensure all workspace timesheets are completed / stored correctly
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, following health & safety at all times
