Role Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer/Technician with a combined electrical and mechanical background to support planned and reactive maintenance across site process equipment. The successful candidate will play a key role in minimising downtime and maintaining operational efficiency within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on associated process equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control system faults
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential failures
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site maintenance management system
Process Equipment & Ancillaries
- Pumps and valves
- CIP systems
- Blending equipment
- Pipework and transfer systems
- Compressed air systems
- Process instrumentation
Essential Skills & Experience
- Recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent
- Experience in food, beverage, dairy or FMCG manufacturing
- Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and preventative maintenance systems
Contract & Terms
To be confirmed: whether engaged on standard temporary (weekly-paid, third-party) terms consistent with other temporary staff on site, or a semi-permanent contract with monthly pay (e.g. 6 months) Pay benchmark to be confirmed by client
