Welder / Fabricator
Location: PE2, Peterborough
Pay: £14.50-£16.00 per hour, depending on experience

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join a busy engineering and manufacturing environment based in Peterborough (PE2).
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong fabrication and welding skills who has experience working with lifting equipment, handling systems or heavy engineering products.
The Role
As a Welder / Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding components and assemblies to a high standard, working from technical drawings and ensuring all work meets required quality specifications.
Your duties will include:
- MIG welding and fabrication
- Fabricating steel components and assemblies
- Working from engineering drawings
- Measuring, marking out and preparing materials
- Using a range of fabrication and workshop equipment
- Working with lifting and material-handling equipment
- Ensuring welds and finished products meet quality standards
- Carrying out inspection and finishing work
- Working safely and efficiently within a busy workshop environment
- Supporting the wider production team where required
About You
We're looking for candidates with:
- Previous experience in welding and fabrication
- Good MIG welding skills
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Experience with structural steel or heavy fabrication is advantageous
- Experience working with lifting/handling equipment would be highly desirable
- Good attention to detail
- A reliable and hardworking approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay: £14.50-£16.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.
