We are seeking a motivated and organised Accounts Assistant to join a busy Finance team. This role provides support with the day‑to‑day administration of Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone detail‑oriented and keen to develop their skills in an accounts environment while working as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date Sales and Purchase notes using the accounting system
- Monitor and manage balances on the Sales Ledger
- Carry out credit control activities, including chasing outstanding payments
- Bank and allocate customer receipts against Sales Ledger accounts
- Process supplier invoices on the Purchase Ledger
- Handle supplier invoice queries professionally and in a timely manner
- Provide general accounts administration support to the Finance team
About You
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- A confident communicator, comfortable following up on outstanding invoices
- Familiar with accounting systems and handling financial data
- Able to prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively
