Location: Peterborough, PE2 6FL (office-based)

Salary: £35,000-£38,000 basic + Bonus & Commission (after probation period)

Job Type: Full-time, office-based | Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm

Role Overview:

The Business Development Specialist will drive new business, building relationships and securing sales opportunities. This role focuses on identifying and pursuing new leads, managing a sales pipeline, and meeting revenue targets. You will work independently, develop customer relationships, and collaborate with Sales and Marketing to execute outreach strategies. This is a target-driven role that requires an experienced business development professional with a strong track record in B2B sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business within target markets
  • Conduct research to spot growth opportunities
  • Generate new sales through outbound activity and networking
  • Build relationships with new customers and propose solutions
  • Manage the sales pipeline and produce forecasts
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Lead Generation
  • Attend trade shows and industry events
  • Achieve £250k new business in year one

Skills & Experience:

  • 3-5+ years in business development or B2B sales
  • Proven success in identifying new opportunities and delivering growth
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
  • (Desirable) Experience in electronics, power supplies, or technical products
