About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail‑driven Supplier Purchaser to join our team, reporting directly to the Supplier Manager. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career within the transport industry, with opportunities to gain experience in negotiation, supplier management, and compliance monitoring. You will play a key part in managing and developing our network of external transport providers, ensuring we have the right carriers in place to support the evolving needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Development: Work closely with the Supplier Manager (SM) and OMTS team to identify opportunities for new supplier partnerships. Support the extension and development of existing supplier relationships in line with strategic business requirements.
- Supplier Setup & Monitoring: Carry out supplier selection and approval processes in accordance with company procedures. Create and manage supplier accounts within Tra+. Continually monitor legal compliance using the BDP database. Collaborate with the BMTS to ensure adherence to TATS policy and performance targets, with a focus on SQAS requirements.
- Transport Provider Management: Assist in sourcing and evaluating carriers capable of meeting specific transport needs. Maintain effective communication with carriers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery.

Additional Information
- Holiday allowance: 20 days per year (with an additional day added every 3 years of service).
- Pension: Auto‑enrolment.
