- Job Purpose
The role will start on days (08:30β17:00) Monday to Friday and then move to a night shift (22:00β06:00) after a few months.
The purpose of the role is to accurately weigh and prepare synthetic and natural aroma chemicals, oils, and powder chemicals according to specified formulations, following company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Health & Safety guidelines.
The Production Operative will work as part of a team to ensure products are manufactured to the required quality standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Check tank and container labels against production paperwork to ensure accuracy.
Accurately weigh and compound raw materials according to formulations.
Ensure all equipment and work areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures when using raw materials.
Assist in combining completed batches and checking weights before packing.
Complete handover documentation for any unfinished jobs.
Report any errors, spills, defects, or safety concerns immediately.
Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and housekeeping.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with other departments.
Assist with stock handling, material movements, and general production duties as required.
Support the achievement of production targets and quality standards.
Carry out any other duties required as part of the daily operation.
Skills and Attributes Required
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
Driver essential due to location Enthusiastic with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong numeracy and communication skills.
Basic IT skills.
Ability to follow procedures and work instructions.
Good time management and organisational skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX would be advantageous.
FLT (Forklift Truck) Licence desirable but not essential.
