Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (OTE £45,000+ with overtime & callouts)

The Role:
As a Mobile Agricultural Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of agricultural machinery and supporting plant equipment. You’ll work on everything from tractors, telehandlers and balers to combines, sprayers, implements and on-farm excavators. This is a varied role with a strong focus on field-based diagnostics, supporting farms across Wales to minimise downtime and keep machinery running during peak seasons.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Responding to urgent on-farm breakdowns and carrying out mechanical, hydraulic and electrical repairs
- Performing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on agricultural machinery
- Diagnosing faults across engines, hydraulics, CANbus, PTO systems, transmissions and electrics
- Repairing and maintaining implements such as mowers, cultivators, trailers, balers and spreaders
- Completing service sheets, inspection forms and accurate maintenance reports
- Supporting workshop repairs including rebuilds, overhauls and pre-season machinery preparation
- Attending farm sites across Wales as part of the mobile service team
What We’re Looking For:
- Background as an Agricultural Engineer, Agricultural Fitter, Farm Machinery Technician or similar
- Strong understanding of agricultural machinery systems including hydraulics, diesel engines and electrical diagnostics
- Experience working with tractors, telehandlers, combines or modern ag-tech systems
- Relevant industry qualifications (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / Apprenticeship or equivalent)
- Ability to work independently on both mobile and workshop-based engineering tasks
- Full UK Driving Licence
