The Role:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing a wide range of industrial cleaning equipment across customer sites within approximately one hour of your home location.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Attending customer sites to service, repair and install industrial cleaning equipment
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical, electronic, hydraulic and mechanical faults
- Carrying out planned maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs
- Working on petrol, diesel and LPG-powered engines
- Using electrical diagnostics and fault-finding equipment
- Completing service reports and updating job information accurately
- Ordering replacement parts when required
- Managing your workload efficiently to deliver excellent customer service
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company Health & Safety procedures
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a mechanical, electrical or electromechanical engineering role
- Strong fault-finding and repair skills
- Experience working on engines, machinery or industrial equipment
- Confidence using electrical and mechanical hand tools
- Experience using diagnostic equipment would be advantageous
- A background in industries such as plant, forklifts, HGV, automotive, agricultural, powered access or maintenance engineering would be highly beneficial
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential
- Full UK Driving Licence
