Working in a busy Spares Packing Department, under the Aftermarket Spares Manager, your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Despatching approximately 30 orders per day, working to a daily deadline.
  • Identifying and picking parts from the stores warehouse, whilst retrieving parts from other locations throughout the site.
  • Packing parts using boxes, crates and pallets ready for shipping.
  • Using various specialised packing, strapping and weight machines.
  • Booking parts in and out using SAP.
  • Creating customer despatch notes.
  • Booking consignments and creating labels and daily manifests onto external carrier computer systems, which include DPD, FedEx and Freightroute, among others.
  • Assisting with the loading of parcels and pallets onto carrier vehicles, either by hand or FLT.
  • Dealing directly with customer collections.
  • Liaising with despatch courier drivers.

Key Skills Required for the Role

  • Previous warehouse or despatch experience is essential.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and work to a strict deadline every day.
  • Computer literacy with SAP experience.

  • Able to work unsupervised and use own initiative.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Counterbalance FLT licenses is desirable.
  • Proven track record of working with quality initiatives.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.

Your core working hours will be 7am to 3.30pm from Mon to Thurs, with a 2.30pm finish on a Friday. Flexibility is key, as you will be required to cover both locations and you must be able to work overtime where required to meet demand. The pay rate for the role is £12.73p/hr with overtime paid at time + ½, and the role is advertised as Temp to Perm.
